Gahama is a regional town located in Burundi, a country in the east-central part of Africa, and belongs to the jurisdiction of Bujumbura Rural Province. It is located in the hilly area in the west of Burundi, near Lake Tanganyika, the second deepest lake in the world, with a typical tropical highland climate characterized by distinct dry and wet seasons.
Gahama region is mainly characterized by agricultural economy, widely planting bananas, cassava, coffee and other crops.
