Located on the east coast of the Isle of Man, England, Derby Harbour is the only city and administrative center on the island. As the capital of the Isle of Man, Derby Harbour is not only a political, economic and cultural hub, but is also known for its Victorian architecture and rich history.
Situated in the middle of the Irish Sea, Derby has a natural deep water harbor and has been an important trading post since the Middle Ages. Named after the 17th century Earl of Derby, the city dates back to the Viking era and the old town still retains its ancient street layout.
As an international offshore financial center, the Port of Derby is home to a large number of financial firms and is known worldwide for its annual TT motorcycle race. City landmarks include the Romanesque St. Mary's Church, Victoria Dock and the Isle of Man Museum, which showcases Celtic artifacts.
Visitors can arrive by ferry from the UK or Ireland, and Derby Harbor's steam railway station still operates the century-old narrow-gauge railroad. The city is surrounded by coastal walks and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, combining urban convenience with natural beauty.
Ziliujing District, located in the south of Sichuan Province, is a municipal district of Zigong City, named after the ancient salt wells that flowed from the city, and is known as the core area of the "Millennium Salt Capital". As the birthplace of Zigong's salt industry, Ziliujing District retains the former site of salt merchants in the Qing Dynasty, and the site of the Tianche (derrick) and other industrial cultural heritages, which have witnessed the glorious history of well salt mining in the BaShu region. Nowadays, Ziliujing District integrates salt culture, dinosaur culture and folk culture, becoming a cultural tourism destination integrating history exploration, science popularization study and folk experience, attracting tourists from all over the world to explore the unique charm of "Salt Dragon Lantern".
