Dejiang is located in the northeastern part of Guizhou Province, the western part of Tongren City, the hinterland of Wuling Mountain Area, the middle and lower reaches of Wujiang River, which is the transportation node connecting the Qianzhong Economic Zone and the southeast of Chongqing. Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger.
