Dartse is a district under the jurisdiction of Lhasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, located in the south-central part of Tibet and in the middle reaches of the Lhasa River, about 20 kilometers away from the center of Lhasa, with an average altitude of about 3,700 meters.
