Dayao County is located in the northern part of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China, on the central Yunnan plateau, with a total area of 4,146 square kilometers and a population of about 280,000 people. It is famous for its long history, rich culture and natural landscape, and was an important node of the ancient Southern Silk Road.
