Daxiang, Hunan, China, is a municipal district of Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, located in the west-central part of Hunan Province, in the southwestern part of Shaoyang City, neighboring Shuangqing District in the east, Beita District in the north, Shaoyang County in the south and Longhui County in the west, and is situated on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Zijiang River. Daxiang District because of the territory of the ancient Daxiang Temple and named, a long history, deep cultural heritage, is the hometown of the famous modern military General Cai E, with Cai E's former residence, Songpo Park and other humanistic landscapes. Zijiang River passes through the district, with a beautiful ecological environment. Agriculture is dominated by rice and vegetable cultivation, and industry has gradually formed a system of machinery manufacturing, food processing and other industries. As an important part of Shaoyang city center, Daxiang District has both history and humanity and modern vitality, and is an important transportation hub and trade and logistics node in central Hunan.
