Daxi is also a major religious and cultural town, with the Jaiming Temple flourishing for a hundred years, and the Daxi Lantern Festival held every year during the Lunar New Year is a well-known cultural event in Taiwan. In addition, the area is famous for traditional snacks such as tofu, taro cake, and peanut candies.
