It is famous for its old street culture, traditional crafts and humanistic landscapes. The old streets of Daxi (such as Heping Road and Zhongshan Road) have preserved the street house buildings from the Japanese colonial period and the early Republican period, with red-brick arcades intertwined with wooden window panes, making a stroll through them akin to traveling back in time. Daxi is also a major religious and cultural town, with the Jaiming Temple flourishing for a hundred years, and the Daxi Lantern Festival held every year during the Lunar New Year is a well-known cultural event in Taiwan. In addition, the area is famous for traditional snacks such as tofu, taro cake, and peanut candies. Combined with the surrounding attractions such as Cihu Mausoleum and Daxi Mausoleum, the area has become a tourist attraction that combines both historical flavor and natural scenery, attracting many tourists to explore its unique local charms.
