Located in the central part of Fujian Province in China, Datian County is part of Sanming City and is situated on the west side of the Daiyun Mountain Range, an important area in the Youxi watershed, a tributary of the Min River. The county covers an area of about 2,294 square kilometers and has a population of about 400,000, with a predominantly Han Chinese ethnicity and a mixture of Hakka and Minzhong cultures. Datian has a long history and was founded in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. It was named after the "Datian Stage", and has been called "Rock City".
The area is characterized by a hilly and mountainous landscape, with over 70% of the area covered by forests and rich mineral resources, especially iron ore and limestone. Agriculture is characterized by rice, tea (such as Daitian alpine tea) and oil tea, while industry covers building materials and machinery manufacturing. Datian is China's "Hometown of High Mountain Tea" and "Oil Tea Industry Demonstration County", and has unique ecotourism resources, such as Xiangshan Ecological Scenic Area and Baiyan Park.
The transportation is convenient, with Putyan Expressway and Quannan Expressway running through the whole area, about 100 kilometers away from Sanming City. The dialects are Minzhong and Hakka, and folk activities such as the "Race Drum" have been listed as intangible cultural heritage. Datian is actively developing a green economy, integrating traditional industries with eco-tourism, making it an important county in the interior of Fujian.
Murgeni is a town in Vaslui County, Romania, located in the Moldavian region of the northeastern part of the country, near the border with Moldova. The town covers an area of about 65 square kilometers and has a population of about 7,000, with agriculture and traditional handicrafts as the mainstay of the economy.
Located in the plains along the Prut River, Murchin has a mild climate and a predominantly agricultural and hilly landscape. Dating back to the 15th century, it was once a border fortress of the Principality of Moldavia, and its multicultural imprint was left behind by the Ottoman Empire's rivalry with Tsarist Russia. There are Orthodox churches and traditional residential buildings.
The economy is based on the cultivation of cereals, grapes and animal husbandry, and in recent years the processing of agricultural products has been gradually developed. Folklore festivals are held every summer to attract tourists, and specialties such as "Tokana" stew and handmade woolen products are well known. The city of Vaslui and Buleira are connected by the DN 24 highway.
As a quiet border town, Mălţi is ideal for experiencing the Romanian countryside, with the neighboring nature reserve of the Prut River and the Bicazi Gorge providing resources for outdoor activities. The town is currently promoting eco-tourism by improving its infrastructure through EU funds.
