Daowai District is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, China, located in the eastern part of downtown Harbin City, along the Songhua River. As one of the oldest districts in Harbin, Daowai District is known for its rich history and culture and unique architectural style, especially the Chinese Baroque Complex, which blends Chinese and Western elements and shows the appearance of a commercial port at the beginning of the 20th century. The district is one of the commercial and transportation hubs of Harbin, with several traditional markets, food streets and cultural heritage sites, such as the Old Daowai Food Street and Jingyu Street. The economy is dominated by commerce, services and tourism, while retaining a strong sense of local life. Conveniently connected to the city via subway and bus, Daowai is an important destination for experiencing the history and folklore of Harbin.
Leting County, belonging to Tangshan City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeastern part of Tangshan City and on the south shore of the mouth of the Luan River in Bohai Bay, which is an important coastal node connecting North China and Northeast China. As the "Hometown of Chinese Folk Art", Leting has nurtured national non-legacy programs such as Leting Drums and Shadow Play, and modern revolutionary pioneer Li Dazhao was born here. The city is rich in ecotourism resources, with island landscapes such as Yuetuo Island and Bodhi Island, making it a popular coastal leisure destination in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The county is also famous for its agriculture, including Leiting peaches and seafood farming, of which "Leiting peaches" is a national geographical indication product. As a traditional agricultural county and an emerging coastal tourist destination, Leting has both a deep cultural heritage and unique marine flavor, and is actively promoting the synergistic development of "cultural tourism integration" and "marine economy".
