As an important transportation hub connecting Podgorica with Nikšić, Danilovgrad's economy is based on agriculture and light industry, and the surrounding area is rich in agricultural products such as grapes and olives. Although the city is small, it has a beautiful natural landscape, with the clear waters of the Morača River and the surrounding mountains forming a picture of tranquility.
