Located in the center of Zhoushan Islands, Zhejiang Province, China, Daishan County is an island county under the jurisdiction of Zhoushan City, with the East China Sea to the east and Hangzhou Bay to the west. The county consists of 404 islands with a land area of 326.5 square kilometers and a vast sea area, with fishery, port economy and tourism as the pillar industries. Daishan is rich in marine resources, producing seafood such as scallop and yellowtail, and is famous as the "Seafood Capital of China".
Daishan has beautiful natural scenery, with famous attractions including Lulan Clear Sand, Moxing Mountain Scenic Spot and Dongsha Ancient Town, of which Lulan Clear Sand is one of the longest sandy beaches in eastern China. The local culture is a blend of maritime folklore and Buddhist elements, such as the Ciyun Jiale Zen Temple and other historical sites.
