Cugil (Carei) is a border city in Bihar County, northwestern Romania, located in the western part of Transylvania, adjacent to the Hungarian border, and only about 10 kilometers away from the Hungarian border city, which is strategically located. As an important gateway connecting Romania and Hungary, the city has a population of about 21,000, and its economy is dominated by agriculture, food processing and light industry, with active border trade, which injects vitality into the regional economic development. Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger.
