Shamdo County is located in the eastern part of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, in the core hinterland of the Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve, an important source of the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and the Lancang River, and is known as the key area of the "Chinese Water Tower". With an average altitude of more than 4,500 meters, it has natural wonders such as Laguladong Divine Mountain and Gaduojuego Divine Mountain, as well as the Longbaotan National Black-necked Crane Nature Reserve, which is rich in biodiversity. As the important birthplace of Khamgar culture, Jomdo retains the ancient Tibetan folklore, thangka art and religious culture, traditional festivals such as the "Bonchon Puja" is unique. The economy is mainly based on animal husbandry, with high-quality yak, Tibetan sheep and other livestock products. In recent years, it has relied on its ecological advantages to develop eco-tourism, which has become a secret place for experiencing the nature and humanity of the plateau.
Located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, Satre District is an important administrative division of the country, known for its natural beauty and agricultural economy. With a total area of about 770 square kilometers and a population of about 100,000, the district is situated in the belt of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, with a mountainous terrain and a mild climate suitable for the cultivation of cereals and fruits.
Bordering on the Iranian border and about 250 kilometers away from the capital Baku, Satre District is rich in forests and water resources. There are several nature reserves in the district with rich biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for hiking and eco-tourism.
The economy is predominantly agricultural, producing wheat, grapes and nuts. Traditional Azerbaijani culture is preserved in the region, with handicrafts and folk festivals attracting tourists. The Satre district is easily accessible by road, connecting major cities and serving as an important gateway for exploring the south of Azerbaijan.
