Located in the southeastern part of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and belonging to the city of Linzhi, Chashu County is situated in the transition zone between the Himalayas and the Hengduan Mountains, bordering with India and Myanmar, with an average elevation of about 2,300 meters above sea level. The area is famous for its high mountains and valleys, subtropical climate and rich biodiversity, with snow-capped mountains, forests and rivers, and is known as the "Jiangnan of Tibet".
Chashu is a place of cultural settlement for the Miao people, retaining unique ethnic traditions, and inhabited by Tibetans, Han Chinese and other ethnic groups. The economy is based on agriculture, with rice, tea and other crops grown. Famous attractions include the Ciba Gorge National Nature Reserve, the Roman Peach Blossom Village and the Primitive Forest Area, which are suitable for eco-tourism and humanistic exploration.
As a border county, Chashu is an important node of the Tea Horse Road and one of the trade routes along the China-India border, with important geostrategic value. Its mild climate contrasts with the main body of the Tibetan plateau, and is a typical representative of regional ecological and cultural exchanges.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
