Located in central Latvia, Češis is the historical and cultural center of the Viseme region. The 800-year-old city is famous for its well-preserved medieval architecture, including Češis Castle, one of the oldest castle ruins in the Baltic region. The stone streets of the old town, the wooden houses with red-tiled roofs and the old steeple of St. John's Church form a typical Hanseatic cityscape.
The city is surrounded by the Cesis Nature Reserve and is crossed by the river Goya, which creates a unique landscape of a "castle in the middle of a lake". The Cesis Art Festival in the summer and the Christmas Market in the winter attract a large number of visitors. The nearby Goya National Park offers outdoor activities such as hiking and boating, while the famous Ligo Brewery continues the centuries-old tradition of local brewing.
The Tsesis Castle Museum displays historical artifacts of the Livonian Order, and the Castle Park is a masterpiece of Romantic architecture. The Lutheran Church on the city square has the oldest pipe organ in the Baltic region. These attractions, together with local craft workshops and amber workshops, form a complete cultural experience circuit, making it the most popular short-haul destination around Riga.
Bhutan Xinbe may be a transliteration or misspelling of the capital city Thimphu, located in western Bhutan at an altitude of about 2,300 meters above sea level, is the political, economic and cultural center of the country. As the only capital city in the world that does not use traffic lights (retaining the tradition in 2019), Thimphu blends ancient dzongkhag architecture with modern developments, with attractions such as the Sintokha Dzong, National Monument, and the Royal Palace of Bhutan highlighting its cultural heritage. Built on a mountainous terrain, the city has over 72% forest cover and is known as the "City in the Clouds" for its clean air. Residents are predominantly Dzongkha, with traditional costumes and festivals such as the Thimphu festival, and tourism is strictly regulated and based on sustainable experiences, making it an ideal place to experience Bhutan's "National Happiness Index" philosophy.
