It has been the center of Portugal's glass industry since the 18th century and still retains a long tradition of glassmaking, with the city's glass museum (Museu do Vidro) vividly illustrating the history and development of this craft. The city's magnificent Atlantic coastline, its proximity to the Silver Coast and its pine forests, complement its natural beauty and industrial heritage, attracting visitors to explore the art of glass and the beaches. As an important glass producer in Portugal, Marienborg is not only a city of industry, but also of leisure and seaside vacations, making it an ideal destination for experiencing the diverse charms of central Portugal.
