Carlisle, the county seat of Cumberland County, is located in south-central Pennsylvania, USA, just 30 minutes from the state capital, Harrisburg. Founded in 1751, the town is steeped in history and was an important military stronghold during the American Revolutionary War, with Carlisle Barracks being one of the oldest active military installations of the U.S. Army.
