Bhaktapur (Nepali: भक्तपुर), also known as "Bhadgaon", is one of the three oldest cities in Nepal's Kathmandu Valley, located about 14 kilometers east of the capital, Kathmandu. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bhaktapur is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, superb craftsmanship and rich cultural heritage.
