Located in Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province, China, Boli County is situated in the transition zone between the Sanjiang Plain and Zhangguancailing, making it an important agricultural and resource-oriented city in the northeast. The county covers a total area of about 4,462 square kilometers and has a population of about 300,000, which is predominantly Han Chinese and includes a number of ethnic groups such as Manchus and Koreans.
Bo Li County has a well-developed agricultural industry, producing corn and soybeans, and is known as the "Granary of Heilongjiang".
