Located in the western part of Chongqing Municipality, China, Bishan District is an important part of Chongqing's main city metropolitan area. With a total area of 915 square kilometers and a population of about 750,000, the area is named after the "white stone from the mountain, bright and moist as a jade".
Bishan is an important modern manufacturing base in Chongqing, focusing on the development of electronic information, intelligent manufacturing and health industries. Bishan Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, a state-level high-tech zone, has attracted many famous enterprises.
Bishan is known as a "small but beautiful" ecological city, with many city parks such as Xiuhu Park and Fengxiang Lake Children's Park, and has been awarded the title of National Ecological Civilization Construction Demonstration Zone. Natural landscapes such as Qinglong Lake and Baiyun Lake complement the cultural relics of ancient stagecoach routes.
Bishan District is conveniently located only 40 kilometers away from the core area of the main city of Chongqing, with a number of major transportation routes such as the Chengdu-Chongqing Loop Expressway and the Yu-Suizhou Expressway running through the whole area, and the Railway Transit Line 1 directly connecting to the central city of Chongqing.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
