Birkirkara is a historic town in the center of the main island of Malta, about 6 kilometers from the capital city of Valletta, known as the "Garden City of Malta". The town has a rich cultural heritage, the most famous landmark of which is the Church of St. Helen, believed to have been built in the 4th century AD and one of the oldest churches in Malta. Birkirkara is also home to the traditional Maltese Carnival, which is celebrated every February by the local population dressed in finery, with a parade of floats and musical performances. As one of Malta's old capitals, Birkirkara witnessed important moments in history when Malta became independent in 1964. Today, it is home to well-preserved historical buildings as well as modern residential areas, making it an ideal place to learn about Malta's history and life.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
