Binhai County is located in the northeastern part of Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, China, and is an important county-level administrative district in the north of Jiangsu Province. Bordering the Yellow Sea to the east, it has a coastline of about 44.5 kilometers and a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The economy is based on agriculture, fishery and manufacturing, with the new energy industry developing rapidly in recent years. The county has a population of about 1.2 million, with a predominantly Han Chinese ethnicity and a dialect of the Jianghuai official language. Transportation is convenient, with the Lianyan Railway and G15 Shenhai Expressway running through the county. Famous attractions include the Moon Bay Seaside Park and the Tongyu River Junction Project, and local specialties such as Binhai sausage and white Shouwu are well known.
