Located in the northwestern part of Guizhou Province, China, Bijie is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province, situated at the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, and is famous for its rich natural landscape and unique ethnic culture. With a total area of about 26,800 square kilometers and a population of over 6 million, the city has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons.
Bijie is home to world-class natural heritages such as the Zhijin Cave and the Baili Azalea Scenic Area, the latter of which is famous for its sea of azaleas that roam the mountains in spring.
