It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Located in the south-central part of Henan Province and belonging to Luohe City, Zhaoling District is situated between the Shahe and Lihe Rivers, with a long history and deep cultural heritage. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Duke Huan of Qi led a coalition of lords to attack Chu, and Chu made an alliance here, signing the "Alliance of Zhaoling", which became an important diplomatic event in history, and put Zhaoling in the history books. Nowadays, Zhaoling is a typical agricultural area, producing wheat, corn, watermelon and other high-quality agricultural products, of which Zhaoling watermelon is famous for its thin-skinned and sweet taste. With convenient transportation, it is adjacent to the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, and is an important node connecting to the city cluster of Central Plains. There are ancient Zhaoling ruins, Chen's ancestral hall and other humanistic landscapes in the district, which combine historical flavor with modern development vitality.
