Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Yuxi, located in the center of Yunnan Province, is the core city of the Central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration, named after the "Jade Creek" with "a big river circling around the front and mountains towering behind". As the hometown of musician Nie Er, the city is rich in humanities and ethnic minorities. Yuxi's most prestigious is Fuxian Lake, China's largest deep-water freshwater lake, with crystal clear water, known as "Jasper in Dianzhong", and natural wonders such as the Luchong Scenic Area and Cherry Blossom Valley hidden among the lake and mountains. The climate is pleasant, with no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer, and an average annual temperature of 15.6℃, making it an ideal recreational resort. In addition, Yuxi is also the "Hometown of Cloud Tobacco", where the Hongta Group originated, and where the tobacco industry is intertwined with highland specialty agriculture (e.g. blueberries and flowers). The combination of natural beauty, humanistic charm and industrial innovation makes Yuxi a preferred destination for tourism and leisure vacation in central Yunnan.
