Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Yanyuan County is located in the southwestern part of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, at the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan Provinces, and is an important node connecting southwestern Sichuan and northwestern Yunnan. The beautiful mountains and rivers in the territory, Lugu Lake (Yanyuan section), such as the sapphire inlaid in the plateau, gave birth to the mysterious Mosuo matriarchal culture, and the Yunnan Landlady constitute the core area of the "Daughters of the East". As "China's top ten pollution-free fruit and vegetable counties", Yanyuan apples are well known throughout the country and are exported both at home and abroad due to abundant sunshine, large temperature difference between day and night, and rich fruit aroma, crispy, sweet and juicy. In addition, Yanyuan has rich cultural resources of the Yi ethnic group, with strong folk customs such as torch festival and Dada dance, as well as natural landscapes such as Gongmu Mountain and Meiyu Waterfall, which are both steep and beautiful, making it an ideal destination for experiencing the multi-cultural and ecological beauty of the Western Sichuan Plateau.
