Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Weishan County, located in the southwest of Shandong Province, belongs to Jining City, and is situated in the core area of Weishan Lake (the largest freshwater lake in northern China), which is a beautiful place due to the lake and the water. It has a vast expanse of water, rich wetland resources, and 10,000 acres of lotus flowers blooming in summer, forming the unique landscape of "China's Lotus Capital", which is a resort for eco-tourism and bird-watching. Weishan Lake is not only an important hub for the South-to-North Water Diversion, but also carries a profound history and culture - the famous railroad guerrillas once fought here, and the classic melody of "the sun is about to set in the west" sings the red memories of this place. Nanyang Ancient Town and Weishan Lake National Wetland Park in the lake area are attracting tourists from all over the world to experience the charm of "a lake with blue waves reflecting the original heart" by combining natural scenery and humanistic heritage.
