Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Songyuan City is located in the central and western part of Jilin Province, at the confluence of Songhua River and Nenjiang River, in the hinterland of Songnen Plain, and is an important regional center city in western Jilin. It is under the jurisdiction of Ningjiang District, Fuyu City, and Qianguerros Mongolian Autonomous County, with a total area of 22,000 square kilometers and a population of about 2.7 million. It has one of China's top ten freshwater lakes, Chagan Lake, which is famous for its winter fishing culture, and is a national nature reserve and ecological tourist attraction; it also has unique geological landscapes, such as Qian'an Mud Forest (Wolf Teeth Dam), and beautiful natural scenery.
As the location of Jilin Oilfield, Songyuan is an important petrochemical base in Northeast China, with significant advantages in the energy industry. Agriculturally, it is rich in corn, rice and miscellaneous grains, and is an important national commodity grain base. In addition, the former Golos Mongolian Autonomous County brings a strong Mongolian flavor, Naadam Conference, Horse-head fiddle art and other cultural elements are unique, and modern agriculture and industry together constitute the Songyuan "ecological city, industry and strong city" development pattern.
