Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Sámara, a quiet beach town in Costa Rica's Puntarenas province, is located in Guanacaste province in the middle of the Pacific coastline and is known for its long stretches of white sandy beaches, clear turquoise waters, and laid-back vibe. It's not only a surfers' paradise, but also a popular destination for eco-tourism - nearby Marchelle National Park (Marino Ballena) is an important migratory site for humpback whales and sea turtles, where you can watch pods of whales from July to October and witness the spectacle of sea turtles laying their eggs from November to March. The town retains a typical Costa Rican flavor, combining local cuisine, handicrafts and low-density eco-hotels for travelers seeking nature and relaxation. Whether it's walking the beaches of Samara, snorkeling and exploring the underwater world, or taking a yoga retreat, Siquijorra offers visitors a taste of what "Pura Vida" (pure life) is all about.
