Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Located in the southeast of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, Mao County is in the transition zone from the Tibetan Plateau to the Western Sichuan Plain, and is the main settlement area of the Qiang people, known as the "Qiang Township of China". It has a long history and a rich Qiang culture, with unique Qiang fortress towers, Qiang embroidery, sheepskin drums and other intangible cultural heritage, Qiang New Year, Qiang flute playing and other customs are included in the national list of intangible cultural heritage. In terms of natural landscape, the Jixi Songpinggou scenic area integrates earthquake sites, alpine lakes and primitive forests, combining ecological value and historical significance. Mao County is also famous for its specialty agriculture, with excellent quality of agricultural products such as crispy plums and sweet cherries, making it an important ecological and cultural tourism destination and a base for plateau specialty agricultural products in western Sichuan.
