Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Karuo District is located in the eastern part of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, in the urban area of Chamdo City, in the hinterland of the Hengduan Mountainous Region and the upper basin of the Lancang River, and is one of the political, economic and cultural centers of the eastern part of Tibet. With an average altitude of 3,300 meters, the magnificent landscape with three rivers flowing side by side has nurtured a unique plateau ecology, and the primitive forests and alpine meadows contrast with each other, while the Karuo ruins have revealed the Neolithic civilization about 5,000 years ago, which is a witness of the early farming and settlement culture of Tibet, and has been regarded as the "cradle of civilization of the eastern Tibet". As the core area of Khamba culture, Karuo combines Tibetan traditions with diversified regional characteristics, and is a treasure trove of nature and history, as well as an ideal place to experience the original ecology of the snowy region and the charm of humanities.
