Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Located in the northern part of Gyeongsangnam-do in South Korea, Sanchon County (Korean: 합천군) is a typical rural county known for its natural beauty and traditional culture. Surrounded by mountains and crossed by a tributary of the Nakdong River, the county has a beautiful ecological environment and is home to natural attractions such as the Ginkgo trees of Naeri in Sancheon-eup and the Gaya Mountain National Park, where the autumn foliage and the 1,000-year-old Ginkgo trees are particularly spectacular. As one of the birthplaces of the Gaya Dynasty, the history and culture of the county is rich, and the ruins of Shaanchon-eup Castle and Gaya Mountain Castle bear witness to the rise and fall of the ancient dynasty. The area is mainly agricultural, producing high-quality fruits such as apples and grapes, and traditional handicrafts, such as Shaanxi-cheon pottery, are also very distinctive. The annual Shaanchon International Pottery Biennale attracts artists from around the world and serves as an important platform for cultural exchange. With its natural wilderness and cultural heritage, Sancheon County is an ideal place to experience Korea's traditional countryside and history.
