Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Dongguang County is located in the southeastern part of China's Hebei Province, under Cangzhou City, and is situated in the hinterland of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei metropolitan area in the North China Plain. It has a total area of 710 square kilometers and a population of about 360,000 people. With a long history, the county was established in the Qin Dynasty, and was named after the fiefdom of the "Marquis of Dongguang". The Beijing-Shanghai Railway and Beijing-Taiwan Expressway run through the whole area, and the transportation is convenient.
Dongguang is a nationally recognized production base for packaging machinery, with the title of "Hometown of Chinese Carton Machinery" and more than 500 related enterprises. Agriculture is mainly wheat and corn cultivation, and jujube is a geographical indication product. In recent years, it has been actively developing new energy, high-end equipment manufacturing and other emerging industries.
There are cultural landmarks such as the Tiefo Temple (an ancient temple of the Northern Song Dynasty), Ma Zhiyuan Memorial Hall (the former residence of one of the four great masters of Yuan dynasty music), and Xun Huisheng's former residence. The folk art Dongguang Blow Song is listed in the provincial intangible cultural heritage. The International Carton Machinery Expo is held every year to attract global businessmen.
