Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Located in Xining City, Qinghai Province, China, Chengxi District is one of the four municipal districts under the jurisdiction of Xining City and is situated in the Huangshui Valley, with an average elevation of about 2,300 meters above sea level. As the administrative, cultural and commercial core area of Xining City, Chengxi District is home to the Qinghai Provincial Government, several universities and research institutes, as well as a modern business district and traditional ethnic markets.
The west side of the city is a blend of Chinese, Tibetan and Hui cultures, and has historical landmarks such as the Qinghai Provincial Museum and the Tiger Terrace Ruins. The economy is dominated by the service sector, with shopping districts such as Liameng Commercial Lane radiating across the province, and the development of specialty industries based on the resources of the Tibetan Plateau, such as Tibetan carpets, trade in yak products, and eco-tourism services.
The district has a plateau continental climate with cool and pleasant summers, making it a famous summer resort. The surrounding area is connected to natural and cultural scenic spots such as Tal Monastery and Qinghai Lake, making it an important hub for traveling into Tibet. The city has a high greening rate, Huangshui River passes through the city, forming a unique river valley cityscape.
