Boiron is a town in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in the German state of Bavaria, not an independent state. It is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the banks of the Isar River in the northern foothills of the Alps and has a population of about 3,500. The town is known for its rich history, its Catholic Benedictine abbey and its natural beauty.
The Abbey of Boiron, founded in the 8th century, is the central landmark of the area and is known for its Baroque architecture and collection of religious art. The town retains its traditional Bavarian houses, hosts annual Christmas markets and other folklore events, and is surrounded by forests and hills, making it ideal for hiking and cycling tours.
The economy is based on tourism, agriculture and small crafts, with easy access to Munich and the Austrian border by road and rail. Boiron embodies the tranquility and cultural heritage of the Bavarian countryside and is an ideal stopover for exploring the German pre-Alpine region.
Alashankou, located in Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang, is an important border crossing between China and Kazakhstan, and also the western bridgehead of the Chinese section of the Asia-Europe Continental Bridge. As the core node of the "Belt and Road" initiative, it integrates railroad, highway, pipeline and aviation, and is the necessary passage for China-Europe liner trains ("YuXinOu", "ZhengXinOu", etc.). In 2023, the volume of China-Europe shuttle trains will exceed 8,000 trains, accounting for more than 30% of the national total. With active trade covering energy, minerals, machinery and equipment, the port is China's logistics hub and open frontier connecting Central Asia, West Asia and even Europe. Meanwhile, the cultural characteristics of multi-ethnic settlement and unique border scenery make it a strategic city with both economic vitality and humanistic charm.
