Berane is a historical city in the north of Montenegro, located on the banks of the river Lim and belongs to the administrative center of the northeastern region of the Republic of Montenegro. As the fourth largest city in Montenegro, Berane has a population of about 11,000 and is situated in a basin surrounded by mountains, with a mild climate and beautiful nature.
Berane was first recorded in the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century and was formerly known as "Budomlija". The city retains the remains of Ottoman architecture and Orthodox monasteries, such as the famous St. George's Church. During World War II, it was an important stronghold in the fight against fascism. Serbian culture is predominant in the region, with traditional handicrafts and folklore festivals.
The economy is based on agriculture, wood processing and small-scale industry, with ecotourism gradually developing in recent years. Parts of the Björgradiska Mountain National Park are located in the surrounding area and are suitable for hiking and nature exploration. The city has a good infrastructure, with highways connecting the main cities of Montenegro, and is an important hub to the Serbian border.

As an important node of the Maritime Silk Road, Luoding integrates the diverse cultures of Guangfu, Hakka and Lingnan, and retains a rich human heritage of ancient villages and ancestral halls. Nowadays, Luoding, relying on the advantages of the transportation hub, is accelerating its integration into the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and writing a new modern chapter of the millennium-old town with the synergistic development of eco-agriculture, cultural and tourism industries, and manufacturing industry.
