Historically, the area has been a blend of Persian and Arab cultural features, with traditional architecture and industrial landscapes intermingling to form a unique urban landscape. Despite its small size, the city's strategic geographic location and economic importance have made it an important hub in southwestern Iran that continues to attract investment and attention.
