Bengshan District is a core district of Bengbu City, Anhui Province, China, located in the heart of Bengbu City, the city's political, economic and cultural center. The area is named after the historical "Bengshan", which resembles a clam shell, and has a total area of about 83 square kilometers with a population of about 300,000 people. Bengshan District is conveniently located as an important hub for the Beijing-Shanghai Railway and the Huainan Railway, connecting eastern and central China.
