Located in the northern part of Taichung City, Taiwan Province of China, Beitun District is the most populous administrative district in Taichung City, covering an area of approximately 62.70 square kilometers. The district combines urban development with natural scenery, and boasts well-known attractions such as the Dakeng Scenic Area and Taichung Folk Park. As an important transportation hub in Taichung, Beitun District is closely connected to the downtown area through the Taichung Railway and MRT Green Line, and there are important transportation facilities in the district such as the Taichung MRT Beitun Terminal.
In recent years, with the opening of the Taichung MRT and the development of rezoning areas, Beitun District has become one of the fastest-growing areas in Taichung City, with the rezoning areas of Phase 14 and Shuihuan driving residential and commercial development. The district retains traditional market culture, such as the famous Changping Road Pig's Feet shopping district, and also has modern commercial facilities such as Costco and Hanshin Department Store, creating a characteristic blend of tradition and modernity.
Beitun District is part of Taichung City, Taiwan Province of China, and is the most populous and largest administrative district in Taichung City. Geographically, the district is connected to Tanzi District in the north, Bei District in the south, New Community in the east, and Xitun District in the west, making it an important regional development status. The district contains the Dakeng mountainous area, the Tanzi District's section acquisition area, and a number of rezoning districts, presenting diverse geomorphic features.
Beitun District is rich in cultural assets and natural landscapes, including historical buildings such as the Taichung Confucius Temple and the Wenchang Temple, as well as natural recreational resources such as the Dakeng Trail System. Economically, there are both traditional agriculture and small-scale industries, as well as emerging commercial and service clusters. The transportation system is well-developed, connecting the greater Taichung area through the Red Line of the Taiwan Railway, the Green Line of the MRT, and a number of main roads, making it an important transportation node and core area for development in northern Taichung.

The area focuses on eco-tourism development while retaining a peaceful rural atmosphere, making it an ideal stopover from the hustle and bustle of the city.
