Beit Shean is an ancient city in the Northern District of Israel, located in the Jordan Valley, about 5 kilometers from the Jordan River and near the Sea of Galilee. The city has a history of more than 5,000 years and was once an important settlement for the ancient Canaanites, Egyptians and Romans. Its main attraction is the Beit Shean National Park, which preserves remains from the Roman and Byzantine periods, such as amphitheaters, baths and temples, and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage nomination site.
Modern-day Beit Shean has a population of about 20,000 and an economy based on agriculture and tourism, producing crops such as cotton and vegetables. The city's climate is hot and dry, with high temperatures of up to 40°C in summer, making it suitable for winter excursions. It is well connected by road to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. With its blend of rich history and natural beauty, Beit Shean is a popular destination in Israel for exploring archaeology and culture.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
