Located in the north of Binzhou City, Shandong Province, China, Shandong Beihai New Area is an important node of the Bohai Economic Circle and a provincial-level development zone. Relying on the geographical advantages of the Bohai Bay, the region focuses on the development of high-end chemical, new energy, modern logistics and marine industries, and has become the core growth pole of the Yellow Triangle High-Efficiency Ecological Economic Zone in recent years.
The new area is situated in the deep-water port resources of Binzhou Port, and the transportation network covers highways, railroads and sea routes, forming a multimodal transportation system. Its characteristic industries include petrochemical deep processing, offshore wind power equipment manufacturing and intelligent logistics park construction, and simultaneously promote ecological protection and blue economy development.
At present, the new area has introduced a number of Fortune 500 companies to move in, supporting the construction of a new coastal city and an ecological wetland park. According to the planning of Shandong Province, the future will strengthen the synergistic development with Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and create a national recycling economy demonstration zone and an important port industry base around the Bohai Sea.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
