Located in the south of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, Beihai City is an important port city and tourist destination along the Beibu Gulf Coast. As one of the starting ports of the ancient "Maritime Silk Road", Beihai has a long history and rich cultural heritage. The city is famous for its natural attractions such as the Silver Beach and Weizhou Island, and has a warm and humid climate, making it suitable for year-round tourism.
Beihai's economy is dominated by tourism, marine industry and processing manufacturing, and it is the core city of the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone in Guangxi. Conveniently located, it has Beihai Fucheng Airport and several highways connecting it to major cities in China. In recent years, Beihai has been actively developing the digital economy and high-tech industries to promote regional economic growth.
Beihai blends Lingnan culture and maritime characteristics, with local cuisine focusing on seafood, such as Beihai fish balls and grilled oysters. Residents live at a slower pace and the city has a livable environment, and has been repeatedly recognized as China's Outstanding Tourist City and a city with excellent air quality.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
