Located in the northeastern part of China's Sichuan Province, Bazhong City is situated at the southern foot of the Micang Mountains in the Daba Mountain System, and is the core area of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Old Revolutionary Region. The city is known for its red culture, ecological resources and historical sites, with a total area of about 12,300 square kilometers and a population of about 2.5 million.
Bazhong is an important national red tourism destination, with revolutionary memorial sites such as the Red Army Martyrs' Cemetery in the Sichuan-Shaanxi Soviet Area and Deng Xiaoping's former residence. Meanwhile, it retains historical and cultural heritages such as the Mi Cang Ancient Road and Nan Niche Cliff Statues, blending the culture of the Ba people with the flavor of the Qin and Han dynasties.
The economy is dominated by agriculture, tourism and green industries, producing walnuts, tea and other specialties. The Guangwu Mountain-Noshui River National Geopark is famous for its karst landforms and virgin forests, and is known as a "natural oxygen bar", attracting a large number of tourists every year.
Bazhong is connected to Chengdu and Chongqing by highways and railroads, and is actively promoting rural revitalization and eco-tourism, aiming to become an important gateway city in northeast Sichuan.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
