Batang County belongs to Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, located at the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet provinces (autonomous regions), is an important post on the Tea and Horse Trail, and has been known as the "hometown of the strings" and the "Tibetan guards in the south of the river".
