Baju County is located in the southeast of Chamdo City in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, in the eastern part of the Tibetan Plateau, with an average altitude of about 3200 meters. The county is famous for its magnificent alpine valleys and the landscape of the Nu River basin, and is an important node of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway (National Highway 318).
