Baoying County, belonging to Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the hinterland of the Lixiahe River Plain, where the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passes through, and is known as the "Hometown of Lotus Roots in China" and the "Hometown of Mushrooms in China". With a dense water network and abundant produce, Baoying is one of the first national ecological demonstration zones and an important node of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. Historically, Baoying was named after the "National Treasure", and has a rich cultural heritage, with monuments such as the "Nine Miles and One Thousand Duns" Han Tomb Complex. Nowadays, with lotus root industry as the core, ecological agriculture and rural tourism, Baoying is an ecologically livable city with the warmth of the Jiangnan water town and the abundance of the Central Jiangsu Plain, which makes Baoying a pleasant place to live and work.
Located in the northeastern part of Guangdong Province, China, Tai Po County is a part of Meizhou City and is situated at the junction of Fujian and Guangdong Provinces, and is famous as the "Hometown of Overseas Chinese", "Hometown of Culture" and "Hometown of Ceramics". The county has a total area of about 2,467 square kilometers, mainly mountainous and hilly, with the Han River running through the whole territory, rich in natural resources and excellent ecological environment.
Tai Po has a long history and deep cultural heritage, with national cultural relics protection units such as Tai'an Building and Calyx Building, and the unique characteristics of the Hakka dragon house architecture. Hakka culture is the core of the area, and traditional folklore such as Guangdong Han music and Puzai fire dragons have been preserved. The ceramics industry has emerged since the Song Dynasty, and Tai Po blue and white porcelain is renowned both at home and abroad.
Tai Po is supported by agriculture, ceramic industry and tourism, and produces agricultural products such as honeydew and tea. Attractions such as the Sanheba Battle Memorial Park, Fengxi Forest Park and Baihou Ancient Town attract many tourists, making it an ideal destination for experiencing Hakka culture and eco-tourism.
