Guazapa is a city in the department of San Salvador in north-central El Salvador, about 30 kilometers from the capital, San Salvador. Located in the foothills of the Guazapa volcano, at an altitude of about 400 meters, the city is known for its fertile volcanic soil and coffee cultivation, and is one of the important coffee-producing regions of El Salvador.
