Diriamba is the capital of the Department of Carazo, Nicaragua, located about 40 kilometers southwest of the capital Managua, nestled in the hilly terrain along the Pacific coast. Diriamba is best known for the Fiesta de San Sebastián, one of the largest traditional festivals in Nicaragua, which takes place on January 20 every year.
