Bunko, Guinea: A Unique Administrative Region in West Africa

Boké, Guinea, is not an independent country, but the name of an important administrative region and its capital city in the northwestern part of the Republic of Guinea. Located on the Atlantic coast, next to Guinea-Bissau, the region is known globally for its rich bauxite resources, which account for a central share of the country's mineral wealth, and is known as the "heart of Guinea's mining industry".

As the regional capital, Bamako is the economic and transportation hub of northwestern Guinea, with an active port and trade network. It has a tropical climate with dense vegetation and a unique mangrove ecosystem created by the tributaries of the Niger River. Culturally, it retains its traditional Susu and Fulani folklore, with distinctive hand-weaving and wood-carving techniques. Although infrastructure is still being developed, its strategic location and resource potential continue to attract international investment.
